Realidad virtual y su utilidad como tratamiento fisioterapéutico para el accidente cerebrovascular: revisión sistemática

Resumen

El  tratamiento fisioterapéutico convencional ha demostrado ser efectivo para el abordaje de las secuelas después de un accidente cerebrovascular sin embargo la inmersión de la realidad virtual como tratamiento fisioterapéutico es una herramienta prometedora para la rehabilitación. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la utilidad del tratamiento fisioterapéutico con realidad virtual para el accidente cerebrovascular. La metodología involucró la búsqueda de ensayos controlados aleatorios, ensayos clínicos en las bases de datos PubMed y SciELO, siguiendo las directrices PRISMA donde se seleccionaron 17 estudios relevantes. Estos mostraron mejoras significativas utilizando soportes, softwares, asistencia robótica, consolas de juegos domésticas. Las mejoras fueron evidentes en la recuperación motora, cognitiva, deambulación. Los resultados son prometedores y respaldan la utilidad de la realidad virtual como tratamiento fisioterapéutico para el abordaje oportuno y eficaz de las secuelas después de un accidente cerebrovascular al igual que mejorar la calidad de vida. En conclusión la herramienta de realidad virtual que se destaca son los soportes permitiendo la ejecución de tareas de manera ágil al igual que la combinación de estas con terapias convencionales potencian los resultados.
