Minuto de Dios University Corporation, located in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia, offers Higher Education programs, including the Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (LEID). Considering that this program is delivered through distance learning, it is important to strengthen the sense of belonging of the students to the institution, which can be affected by various factors, including the lack of appropriation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This article analyzes the results of a diagnostic study conducted in the LEID Program, focusing on the level of ICT empowerment among the involved population. Initially, the extent of students' mastery of ICT is revealed, followed by a thorough analysis of the diagnostic results. Finally, the relationship between the variables under consideration is established. The research approach was mixed-method, incorporating a descriptive/correlational research type. Qualitative/non-experimental principles were considered, approached with an inductive scope. In conclusion, recommendations are made to address the identified gaps in the findings of this research.
