Results of the community service practice project: “Management in the teaching-learning process and educational innovation”

The objective of this work was to demonstrate the results of the pretest and posttest applied to the beneficiaries of the Linkage project called: “Management in the Teaching Learning and Educational Innovation process”, from component two of the logical framework, which specifies: “Academic reinforcement of the four areas of knowledge of Basic General Education”, for an analysis of the learning level of the children, belonging to four cantons of the province of Cotopaxi. The methodological strategies used were service learning, in addition the quantitative approach, analytical method and test technique were used. The results reflect that of a population of 2,529 beneficiaries, investigated in the four areas of knowledge of basic general education: Language and Literature, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Social Studies within the items on the domain of knowledge, in the initial reading (pretest ) a high percentage (70%) of the population predominates among the “Good” “Fair” evaluation scale, from the final reading (posttest) at the end of the linkage project there is a positive trend in terms of 83% that is transferred to the evaluation scale of “Excellent” and “Very good”, regarding the analysis by areas of knowledge, 160 children from the four cantons were taken as a sample, it was evident that the areas with the greatest impact on their indicators were: Mathematics and Language and Literature , which infers an important contribution to these last areas that constituted the ones with the greatest deficit in the level of knowledge of the boys and girls, the results denote the relevance of academic reinforcement to strengthen the training of boys and girls.
