Suicide represents a mental health problem that has been addressed in different ways over time, being important those that focus on strengthening protective factors. In this context, the present systematic review aimed to determine the effectiveness of positive psychological interventions for the prevention of suicidal risk. For this purpose, a literature search was carried out in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of science, Scielo and Dialnet, following the methodological guidelines of PRISMA. Inclusion criteria included; studies since 2017, empirical research, clinical trials or randomized controlled trials, as well as articles written in English or Spanish that included pre- and post-intervention measures. Papers that were systematic reviews, meta-analyses or cross-sectional studies were excluded. Eight relevant studies were obtained from the analysis, which revealed that positive psychological interventions were able to reduce suicidal risk; this finding underscores the importance of continuing to address and deepen this issue.
