Armed forces know about the legitimate use of force in Ecuador

Abstract

Currently, military mastery over the Legitimate Use of Force (ULF) is important and necessary since it is a fundamental part of the academic training in Human Rights (DD.HH) of all military personnel, for this reason the present investigation is specifically directed towards the cadets of the fourth military year, second lieutenant officers of the Military School "Eloy Alfaro" of the city of Quito, who were trained in the area of ​​knowledge in DD.HH on ULF, since during the last events in internal matters, the need has been presented for the imperative use of military personnel in matters related to the threats determined by the Council of Public Security and the State (COSEPE), such as: drug trafficking, illegal mining and transnational crime as well as some indigenous uprisings and / or demonstrations aggravated by which the great need to improve this institutional requirement has been seen, giving way to this research with a mixed approach, which exposes the methodological design through a descriptive approach, applying theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis that were used as methods empirical, where the non-probabilistic sample that will participate with the cadet staff of the Military School "Eloy Alfaro" of the Land Force is made up of 26 members, to improve the development of capacities such as problem solving and critical thinking that will allow to form leaders capable of facing the threats, current and future risks of the country based on the organic law that regulates the ULF, the regulations of the organic law that regulates the ULF and the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador.
