The present study analyzed harmonic distortion levels in residential and industrial environments using the Fluke 1775 power quality analyzer, with the objective of providing a detailed description of each setting and verifying compliance with the limits established by the IEEE 519-2022 standard. The methodology involved conducting measurements over a period of seven days, with the analyzer's configuration adjusted to the characteristics of each environment. The collected data were processed using the Energy Analyze software, which allowed for the evaluation of distortion in both current and voltage. In the residential environment, harmonic distortion levels for both parameters were found to be within the normative limits. However, in the industrial environment, although the voltage remained within the allowed range, current levels showed significant distortion, exceeding the permitted limits by more than twice the established values. It is concluded that, while voltage quality was acceptable in both cases, the current harmonic distortion in the industrial environment represents a significant risk to the efficiency of the electrical system, highlighting the need to implement measures for harmonic mitigation.
