Role of the family and its impact on school effectiveness

Abstract

The family is the basis of society and it is there where the first teachings are received: how to speak, how to behave, manners and the main values that accompany the growth and development of people. The role of the family plays an important role in the education of students, since it transmits values, principles and emotions, which allow the student to develop in the educational environment. Parents who give positive affection and high levels of warmth are linked to a contingent receptive response to the signals given to their children and clearly these aspects, in combination with behaviors that respond cognitively to their needs including the provision of valuable verbal input, the maintenance and expansion of these children's interests provide a solid base of support necessary for the multiple aspects of learning in their formation. School environments require dynamic spaces and constant social interaction among all the members that make up the educational community, in addition to the participants in the educational teaching and learning processes, this is made up of scenarios, processes, diversity of practices, where a complexity of cultures, knowledge and beliefs coexist, which in turn end up influencing a particular context; therefore, the educational community becomes a true school culture.
